Database Developer

Database Developer with some AWS experience as well as Oracle database experience to work on a federal contract consisting of a large eco-system of highly integrated applications.

Job Responsibilities:
Create database objects for Oracle DB or AWS supported DB (MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc.) to be consumed by React JS Applications using Java services, .NET and Java based Applications.
Participate in backlog grooming of requirements.
Perform analysis and provide database solutions to address business needs.
Write high level test cases.
Create ad-hoc reports.
Debug Production issues.
Load data, create scripts for production data update.

Basic Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
10+ years of Oracle development experience is required (Oracle 11g or 12c preferred).
Working knowledge of writing complex business application logic using database triggers and packages is required.
Excellent PL/SQL skills with ability to troubleshoot and tune poor performing queries is required.
Clear understanding of relational modelling.

Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of Oracle data warehouses.
Working knowledge of XML and JSON functions; XML, JSON constructs in Oracle.
Exposure to cloud architectures and cloud-centric database environments.
Knowledge of AWS database managed services and data migrations.
