Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the migration of databases from MS SQL Server to PostgreSQL.
  • Optimize and refactor T-SQL stored procedures, functions, and scripts to PL/pgSQL.
  • Design and implement cloud-based data solutions.
  • Work closely with cloud engineers to facilitate a smooth migration.
  • Utilize Databricks for data processing, ETL pipelines, and analytics.
  • Ensure data integrity, performance tuning, and security compliance.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues post-migration.
  • Document best practices, guidelines, and migration strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in database development and administration.
  • Strong expertise in MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
  • Hands-on experience with T-SQL and PL/pgSQL.
  • Experience in cloud migration (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Familiarity with Databricks (PySpark, SQL, or Scala).
  • Proficiency in ETL development and data pipeline automation.
  • Strong performance tuning and optimization skills.
  • Knowledge of data security and compliance standards.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
