Description

Responsibilities

  • Plan and install upgrades of database management system software to enhance database performance.
  • Demonstrate database technical functionality, such as performance, security and reliability.
  • Design database applications, such as interfaces, data transfer mechanisms, global temporary tables, data partitions and function-based indexes to enable efficient access of the generic database structure.
  • Identify and correct deviations from database development standards.
  • Create and enforce database development standards.
  • Set up database clusters, backup, or recovery processes.
  • Document and communicate database schemas, using accepted notations.
  • Develop or maintain archived procedures, procedural codes, or queries for applications.
  • Develop load-balancing processes to eliminate down time for backup processes.
  • Develop data models for applications, metadata tables, views or related database structures.

Required Skills

  • Strong in SQL experience on Postgres UNIX/LINUX-based Environment.
  • Strong Expertise on Azure Database for PostgreSQL and Cosmos DB (NoSQL).
  • Strong understanding of Performance analysis, tuning and Optimization.
  • Must have Global and Localization of the Data Management across regions in Azure Cloud
    Platform.
  • Must have the Design expertise on Data Governance/Data Sovereignty.
  • Must have Deep Knowledge on Medical domain expertise.
  • Fluent in English – both verbal and written communication.

Required Experience

  • 84 months designing, architecting, and guiding the implementation of high-end, scalable, robust applications and solutions including Oracle Forms and Reports.
  • 84 months experience developing in PL/SQL, SQL*Plus and SQL including writing stored procedures, functions, packages and triggers.
  • 84 months programming experience using complex Oracle DBMS in versions Oracle 11g and higher.
  • 84 months experience creating UNIX shell scripts, and programming applications for use with UNIX, NT and PC environments.
  • 60 experience months in legacy application modernization.
  • 60 months experience writing and webservices using XML and SOAP.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
