Database Administrator

Key Responsibilities:
- Actively engage with Snowflake support for support tickets and outages.
- Develop, build, and maintain a centralized data platform using Snowflake.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose Snowflake database errors.
- Implement user/query log analysis and alerts in Snowflake.
- Collaborate with diverse user groups from data engineers to data scientists.
- Implement data encryption/masking policies to protect sensitive data.
- Proficiency in index design, query plan optimization, and analysis.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and team support.
- Train users and handle on-call responsibilities for Snowflake database administration.
- Review project requests to estimate time and cost for database user needs.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field.
- 1-2+ years of experience with PostGRES databases.
- 3+ years of experience in system or application database administration.
- Experience supporting databases in Azure or AWS cloud environments.
- Ability to migrate databases from on-premises to cloud.
- Knowledge of Snowflake is advantageous.
- Strong communication and coaching skills.
- Familiarity with database tools like SSMS, Toad, ER/Studio Data Modeler.

Desirable Qualification:
- Snowpro Core Certification is a plus.
