Database Administrator

JOB DUTIES:

Involve in Architecting, designing, implementing and supporting of cloud-based Database infrastructure. Work on large, complex, database/application deployment, migration, patching, consolidation and upgrade projects. Involve in migrating Databases/Schema objects from On-prem to Cloud environment. Work on Installing, Configuring, Upgrading SQL Server and PostgreSQL Aurora in AWS RDS/EC2 instance using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines. Work on Automating the Database/Schema Refreshes for Aurora using Shell scripting or Python. Work on New Relic or Foglight Monitoring tools and setup Alerts and Dashboards for RDS Instances. Develop complex database objects like Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages and Triggers using SQL, T-SQL. Work under supervision. Travel and/or relocation to unanticipated client sites in USA is required.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT/IS/Engineering(Any)/Commerce or related field with Twenty four (24) months of experience in the job offered or as an IT Consultant/ Analyst/ Programmer/Developer/Administrator or closely related. Employer also accepts a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science /Information Technology /IS /Engineering (any)/Commerce or related field earned through any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience, as determined by a professional evaluation service plus Twenty four months of progressive work experience in related field.

EXPERIENCE:

Experience of Twenty-four (24) Months with SQL Server, SSIS, AWS and SSRS is required. Travel and/or relocation is required to unanticipated client sites within USA. International travel is not required. The frequency of travel is currently not known as it depends on the client and project requirement that cannot be currently anticipated. Employer provides Information technology services to various clients in USA and hence implementing projects will require such travel.
