Job Description:
Astonsys is looking for a meticulous and experienced Data Tester with 5 years of proven expertise to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and performance of data-centric applications and systems. The ideal candidate will be adept at validating data pipelines, ETL processes, and database functionalities.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, cases, and scripts for data validation.
•
Test ETL processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and transformation quality.
•
Perform data integrity checks across databases and data warehouses.
•
Identify, document, and resolve data-related issues using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla.
•
Validate SQL queries, stored procedures, and database functions.
•
Work closely with data engineers, developers, and business analysts to address issues and align testing with project requirements.
•
Utilize data profiling and data quality tools for testing.
•
Perform performance testing on data pipelines and recommend optimizations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
•
Mandatory Experience: Minimum 5 years in Data Testing.
•
Strong expertise in SQL and query optimization.
•
Hands-on experience with ETL tools like Informatica, Talend, or SSIS.
•
Familiarity with data warehouse technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery).
•
Understanding of data quality testing frameworks and methodologies.
•
Experience with testing data in Agile environments.
•
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Good to Have:
•
Knowledge of big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
•
Proficiency in testing tools like Selenium, UFT, or equivalent.
•
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
•
Certifications in Data Testing or related domains.
