Description

  • Develop and maintain data transmission feed to CDC using message mapping guides.
  • Develop and maintain metadata for systems and datasets, including data dictionaries and data element/variable change documentation
  • Assist in identifying solutions for information access, such as data repositories, visual display of information for data quality review and decision-making, and concerns related to legal, confidential, and security of data collection, storage, and access
  • Apply informatics principles and standards to projects and systems, where relevant standards exist
  • Ensure communication with system and data users within the department of health and externally with CDC and CSTE

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
  • Knowledge of coding standards, such as HL7, LOINC, SNOMED, ICD-10, CPT, and other clinical or message coding
  • Experience with PowerBI
  • Experience with SQL, Python, or other scripting languages
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools
  • Two years’ experience working in a public health setting
