Data Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Create a Data Quality Strategy and Transformational Roadmap that aligns with a clients goals.
• Conduct interviews with client stakeholders from Business and gather information on current Data Quality challenges and bring to light trends in their data issues.
• Determine current state and future state for the Data Quality vision.
• Improve a client data quality through profiling, analysis and long term monitoring of their data.
• Profile individual datasets to define data challenges.
• Build, use and refine trending dashboards to measure Completeness, Accuracy/Validity.
• Analysis and Consistency Analysis.
• Build out new data quality dashboards where needed for analysis and future monitoring.
• Keep current with company quality standards.

Required Skills

• Strong in writing SQL queries and analysis of data.
• Should have handled large data ecosystem Data quality skills.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Understand KPI’s and write test plan.
• Good to have knowledge in Python, Airflow, Data warehousing skills.
• Good communication skill.

Required Experience

• 3 years of experience in a data quality or data compliance role.
• 3 years of experience with SQL, specifically Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Integration Services.
• 3 years of experience with web-based applications.
• 3 years of experience working with data management.
• Experience working with large scale databases.
• Experience working in Power BI or Tableau.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
