Data Quality Analyst

Serves as project lead/subject matter expert for data sources related to Maternal Child Health and My Healthy Baby, and additional sources as assigned • Reviews and provides feedback on the work products of other analysts as requested • Responsible for transferring raw data to the appropriate location for use in data analysis projects • Wrangles, cleans, and validates agency data sources with minimal guidance • Conducts general analysis of agency datasets; serves as project lead, as assigned. • Contributes to complex analysis of agency datasets, as requested • Contributes to and leads data quality improvement efforts as assigned. • Conducts data quality checks to ensure the validity and cleanliness of agency datasets prior to their use in analysis and reporting • Oversee and review projects completed by associate analysts, as requested by senior analyst • Interprets data and from multiple sources using a variety of analytical techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation, to data mining, to more complex statistical methodologies • Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop novel ways of using and reporting out data. • Provide technical assistance to program areas for the creation of reports and grant deliverables • Develops compelling data visualizations to communicate findings to target audience(s) • Presents key findings and summaries of results to internal and external stakeholders • Adheres to HIPAA, PII, PHI and other state statutes concerned with protecting data confidentiality and individual privacy Base SAS (Data Step programming) (2 years) PROC SQL (2 years) SAS Macro Language (2 years) SAS/STAT (2 years) Advanced SQL development experience (2 years) Python experience for data transformation (2 years) Data Warehouse familiarity (i.e. co-locating, curating, and integrating diverse data sources) (2 years) Cloud environment (Azure preferred) (1 years) Experience working on multi-team projects (0 years) Experience gathering requirements through customer interaction (0 years) Agile project management methodology experience (0 years) Familiarity with Azure DevOps (0 years) Government agency experience (state-level preferred) (0 years) Public health data experience (maternal/child public health data preferred) (0 years) Microsoft AZ-900: Azure Fundamentals Certification (0 years) Microsoft DP-900: Azure Data Fundamentals Certification (0 years)
