Data Platform Architect

Responsibilities:

Define and implement the overall data architecture strategy, aligned with business objectives and industry best practices.
Design, develop, and maintain a robust and scalable data platform on the Azure cloud, leveraging services such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, and more.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver data solutions that meet their needs.
Ensure data quality, integrity, and security through the implementation of appropriate data governance and compliance measures.
Develop and maintain data pipelines for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and loading into data warehouses and data marts.
Optimize data platform performance and cost-efficiency through continuous monitoring and improvement.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers and analysts.
Stay up-to-date with emerging data technologies and trends.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in data architecture and engineering.
Proven expertise in designing and implementing data platforms on the Azure cloud.
Strong knowledge of data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL/ELT processes.
Experience with data integration and migration projects.
Proficiency in SQL and Python programming.
Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
Strong understanding of data governance and compliance regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
