Responsibilities

  • Implement business and IT data requirements through new data strategies and designs across all data platforms (relational, dimensional).
  • Work with business and development teams to implement data strategies, build data flows, and develop conceptual/logical/physical data models.
  • Analysis, design, development, presentation, and of a domain based logical data model.
  • Use the modeling tool Power Designer to capture clear definitions of data elements and produce code to effect database changes.
  • Analyze data-related system integration challenges and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Define and govern Data modelling and design standards, tools, best practices, and related development for enterprise data models.
  • Identify the architecture, infrastructure, and interfaces to data sources, tools supporting automated data loads, security concerns, analytic models, and data visualization.

Required Skills

  • Proficient in designing Star Schema, Snow Flake Schema, OLAP and OLTP Data Modeling using Erwin modeling tool.
  • Knowledge of financial services business. In depth knowledge of institutional brokerage business preferred.
  • Strong RDBMS concepts and well experience in creating database Tables, Views, Sequences, triggers etc by taking the Performance and Reusability into consideration.
  • Strong knowledge of systems development methodologies, specifically Agile.
  • Strong working knowledge of data modeling tools such as Power Designer and Erwin.
  • Knowledge and understanding of different database platforms, such as, Oracle, DB2, Postgres, Hadoop, Snowflake, Netezza.
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage workload across multiple projects and balance deadlines and work.

Required Experience

  • 5 Years of Experience in Designing the Data models and developing the Database Schemas using Erwin.
  • Experience with Business Process Modeling, Process Flow Modeling, Data Flow Modeling.
  • Experience in Data warehousing DW, Master Data Management MDM, Dimension data modeling in different environments like Healthcare, Food services, Telecoms, Airlines and Banking.
  • Extensive experience in Relational Data Modeling, Dimensional Data Modeling, Logical/Physical Design, ER Diagrams, Forward and Reverse Engineering, Publishing ERWIN.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
