Data Modeler

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler to join our team for a long-term contract position. As a Data Modeler, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining complex data models that support business processes and analytical needs. This position requires expertise in data modeling concepts and the use of modeling tools such as Erwin or other similar data modeling platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, maintain, and optimize logical, physical, and conceptual data models based on business requirements.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and design efficient data models.
• Create, validate, and document data modeling best practices and standards.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and gaps in data, and recommend improvements.
• Ensure data models align with business objectives and IT architecture strategies.
• Support the integration of data models into ETL processes and data warehousing solutions.
• Work closely with database administrators and developers to ensure effective implementation of data models.
• Provide support and expertise in data modeling tools (Erwin, etc.) and methodologies.

Required Skills & Experience:
• 5+ years of experience in data modeling.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
• Proficiency in using data modeling tools like Erwin, IBM InfoSphere, or similar.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Ability to analyze complex data and define efficient data structures.
• Experience with data integration, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:
• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of big data technologies and NoSQL databases.
