Data Modeler

Job Description:  We are looking for a highly skilled Data Modeler with expertise in Dimensional Data Modeling, SQL, and Erwin to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing data models, ensuring data consistency, and improving data quality. The Data Modeler will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and stakeholders, to gather requirements, design data models, and implement data solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Design and Implement Data Models: Develop dimensional data models using star and snowflake schema designs. Create logical and physical data models using Erwin and other data modeling tools. Ensure data models are scalable, maintainable, and meet business requirements.

Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and design data models. Communicate data model designs and changes to stakeholders and developers. Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on data models. Ensure Data Consistency and Quality: Develop and maintain data dictionaries and metadata. Ensure data consistency across different systems and databases. Identify and resolve data quality issues.

SQL Development and Maintenance: Develop and maintain SQL scripts to support data model implementation. Optimize SQL queries for performance and scalability. Troubleshoot SQL issues and provide solutions.

Erwin and Data Modeling Tools: Proficiently use Erwin and other data modeling tools to design and implement data models. Stay up-to-date with the latest features and best practices in data modeling.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Document data model designs and implementation plans. Share knowledge and expertise with team members and stakeholders. Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and workshops.
