Data Modeler

Responsibilities

• Determine database structural requirements by analyzing client operations.
• Review objectives with clients.
• Facilitate data requirement meetings with business and technical stakeholders and resolved conflicts to drive decisions.
• Develop and implementation of database maintenance plans, including performing integrity and checks, updating statistics, monitoring security, and hardware resource utilization.
• Provide database support by coding utilities.
• Respond to user questions and resolving problems.
• Manage logins and user accounts, including assigning database object permissions and ancillary privileges.

Required Skills

• Expertise in Oracle database 11g/12c/19c administration, monitoring, problem management for Oracle databases.
• Basic understanding of Oracle database security.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent leadership skills with ability lead and guide and groom the team.
• Excellent team player, able to work with virtual teams.
• Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic start-up environment.

Required Experience

• 84 months experience performing data analytics, conceptual and relational data modeling, data integrity and testing activities in a highly complex data project.
• 84 months working with Microsoft SQL Server/databases and PL/SQL in tables, user functions, views, indexes including writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
• 84 months experience using data modeling tools including SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS as well as creating and maintaining data dictionary and data mapping of one or more systems.
• 84 months experience interacting with High-Level Executives and Senior Management as well as working with stakeholders to define and develop business processes and procedures and system requirements.
• Experience using or managing windows, Linux, or UNIX operating system. Linux experience is a strong plus.
• 84 months experience with technical writing required, including experience writing Business Requirements Documents and Use Case/User Story development.
• 84 months experience documenting, implementing test strategies, plans, and scripts as well as executing unit, system integration and functional testing.
• 84 months experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) to include various technologies, test documentation and procedures.
• 84 months working with Microsoft Suite including Excel, VBA, Power Pivot, Power Query, Power Bi.
• 24 months in a project leader capacity or as a major contributor on a complex project.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
