Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design and implement robust data models including conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with business needs.
- Create and optimize relational database schemas, tables, indexes, and views using SQL and other tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather data requirements and convert them into scalable models.
- Ensure adherence to data governance, data quality, metadata management, and data lineage standards.
- Design and implement data models for complex and large-scale applications across cloud and on-premise environments.
- Work closely with cloud architecture teams on data lake, data warehouse, and ETL/ELT solutions.
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance on data modeling best practices.
- Communicate technical data modeling concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Keep up with current trends in data architecture, modeling techniques, database technologies, and cloud computing.
- Participate in the implementation of data privacy regulations and data governance frameworks.
- Manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Drive innovation through the adoption of emerging technologies such as Data Marketplace and Data Product concepts (if applicable).
- Contribute to integration and automation of data movement and transformation using tools like Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks (if applicable).
Experience Requirement:
- 7-14 years of professional IT experience.
- Experience as a Data Architect/Modeler with a strong emphasis on advanced data modeling.
- Experience in designing and implementing models for high-volume enterprise-scale applications.
- Proven expertise in SQL and relational databases with strong optimization techniques.
- Exposure to cloud data platforms and integration services including Azure Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks is a plus.
- Familiarity with MS Data Fabric, Data Marketplace, and Data Product concepts is advantageous.
- Demonstrated success in mentoring teams and leading initiatives within a governed data environment.
