Description

The Data Manager role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the discovery data across a variety of Projects within the Programme. This role reports directly into the Data Management and MI Portfolio Lead. 

The role is key for managing the ongoing data quality, identifying gaps and or issues with the data and rectifying them. Data quality assurance relies upon initial project baselines being taken, and then providing updates as new discovery data is loaded into DTM and reported to the key stakeholders on a monthly basis. Good customer facing and presentation skills are required to host these monthly calls.

This role sits within a large Programme, and as such multiple stakeholder relationships and requests will need to be prioritised and managed. 

Responsibilities 
• Reporting to the Data Management and Planning Lead for the NatWest Group Account, responsible for data discovery, analysis, data refreshes and baseline governance using the supplied tooling. Assisting with MI lead to facilitate accurate reporting and dashboards across 4 linked projects (subject to change) - Weekly: Data refresh and updates, Gap Analysis, RAID, Programme Board updates - Monthly: Retrospectives & Process Reviews 
• Reporting: Migration Readiness, Escalation, 5@5 reporting 
• Customer facing role, able to manage both internal & external senior stakeholders. 
• Ad-hoc reporting as required. Essential Skills 
• Strong Skills and Experience in Excel Power Query & Power BI, SQL (DBA Skills if possible), ServiceNow API skills 
• Experience working on complex technical Datacentre migration project(s) 
• Must have experience in Data Management 
• Experience within an IT Operations - including Change, Incident Management, Risk, and Issue Management 
• Project Management approaches - Agile (SAFe) and/or Prince2 methodologies 
• Experience in the following areas would be preferred: o A good understanding of Datacentre components, including Physical/Virtual Servers and SAN Technology. o MS SQL Databases (with DBA experience) o Service Now - API o MS Excel Power Query o MS Power BI o MS PowerPoint – PPT o Python / Scripting 
• Both spoken and written communication skills with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered. 
• Proactive, self-starter and ability to work within deadlines. 
• Excellent attention to detail. 

Preferred Skills 
• Experience working in finance or banking industry. 
• Experience working on a complex migration programme.
