Data Leader with Snowflake Expertise

Key Responsibilities:

1. Enterprise Data Platform Leadership:
   • Architect, implement, and manage the organization's Enterprise Data Platform using Snowflake as the foundational technology.
   • Define the data architecture strategy, ensuring it supports scalability, flexibility, and high performance across business units.
   • Integrate data from diverse systems to create a unified data repository that enables advanced analytics and reporting.
2. Data Governance and Compliance:
   • Establish and lead a Data Governance framework to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
   • Define and implement policies for data stewardship, data lineage, metadata management, and access controls.
   • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
3. Strategic Data Initiatives:
   • Develop and execute a data strategy roadmap, aligning with the organization's business goals.
   • Lead efforts to enable self-service analytics and democratize data access across teams while maintaining robust governance.
   • Establish KPIs and reporting standards to measure the effectiveness of data initiatives.
4. Team Leadership and Collaboration:
   • Build and lead a high-performing team of data engineers, analysts, and governance professionals.
   • Partner with business stakeholders, IT teams, and data scientists to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
   • Act as a change agent, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in data practices.
5. Technology Enablement and Innovation:
   • Leverage Snowflake's advanced capabilities such as Data Sharing, Data Marketplace, and Snowpark to deliver value-added solutions.
   • Evaluate and integrate complementary tools for ETL/ELT, data cataloging, and visualization (e.g., Matillion, Tableau, Power BI).
   • Stay ahead of emerging data trends and technologies to ensure the platform remains cutting-edge.
