Data Governance Lead

Role Description:

We are looking for an experienced Data Governance Architect with 12+ years of experience to establish and manage data governance for our Databricks-based platform. You will ensure data quality, security, and stewardship across multiple business processes, using Microsoft Purview as the governance tool.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Governance Strategy: Develop and implement data governance frameworks aligned with business and compliance requirements.
Data Stewardship: Define roles and processes to ensure data integrity and high quality.
Data Quality: Establish data quality metrics and rules, ensuring data is accurate, complete, and consistent.
Data Security: Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and secure data access.
Purview Expertise: Utilize Microsoft Purview for data cataloguing, lineage, and governance workflows to enhance data transparency.
Policy Development: Create and enforce data governance policies and standards.
Collaboration: Work with business, IT, and data teams to integrate governance practices across the organization.
Key Skills and Qualifications:

12+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, and security, preferably on cloud-based platforms like Databricks.
Expertise in Microsoft Purview or similar governance tools.
Strong understanding of data security, privacy regulations, and data quality management.
Experience in defining and managing data stewardship programs.
Proficient in SQL, Python, and data modelling.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
