Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Data Entry Clerk to accurately input, update, and maintain data in our systems and databases. The ideal candidate will have strong typing skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage large volumes of information with precision.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately enter and update data into internal databases or spreadsheets
Verify data by comparing it to source documents
Maintain data integrity and confidentiality at all times
Organize and maintain electronic and paper files
Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation
Respond to requests for information and access relevant files
Review data for errors or missing information and correct inconsistencies
Assist with generating reports and data summaries as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree preferred)
Proven experience in data entry or related administrative roles
Fast and accurate typing skills (ideally 50+ WPM)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) or Google Workspace
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Familiarity with data confidentiality standards and best practices
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with data entry software (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, QuickBooks)
Knowledge of [industry-specific] terminology (e.g., medical, legal, financial)
Basic understanding of data analytics and reporting
