Description

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to input, update, and manage information in our databases and computer systems. The ideal candidate will have excellent typing skills, a sharp eye for accuracy, and the ability to handle high volumes of data entry while maintaining quality and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

📥 Data Entry & Record Maintenance
    •    Accurately enter data into spreadsheets, databases, and software platforms
    •    Review data for errors, inconsistencies, or duplication and make corrections as needed
    •    Update and maintain existing records and logs in a timely manner
    •    Verify accuracy of data before entering it into systems

🗂️ Document Handling & Organization
    •    Organize and sort paper documents or digital files for data entry
    •    Prepare source documents by compiling and sorting information
    •    Scan physical records or convert hardcopy documents into digital formats
    •    Maintain electronic filing systems and data backups

🔍 Quality Control & Reporting
    •    Perform regular data audits and quality checks
    •    Generate basic reports and summaries of entered data when required
    •    Communicate with team members or supervisors to clarify data inconsistencies
    •    Flag any system issues or errors that may affect data integrity

🤝 Collaboration & Support
    •    Collaborate with team members in different departments (e.g., finance, HR, sales)
    •    Support administrative projects as needed
    •    Follow company data privacy, security, and confidentiality policies

Required Skills & Qualifications:
    •    High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree is a plus
    •    Proven experience as a data entry clerk, office assistant, or similar role
    •    Excellent typing speed and accuracy (e.g., 45+ WPM)
    •    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and data entry software
    •    Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    •    Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
    •    Familiarity with office equipment such as scanners and printers

Preferred Qualifications:
    •    Experience with CRM or ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho, SAP)
    •    Knowledge of data protection and confidentiality principles
    •    Basic understanding of spreadsheets, formulas, and data sorting/filtering
    •    Ability to handle repetitive tasks with efficiency and focus
