Data Engineer/Solution Architect

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Engineer/Solution Architect to join our data analytics team. This role will be pivotal in building and maintaining our data lake on AWS, leveraging data from our SAP S4HANA system to provide valuable insights to the business. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in cloud-based data technologies, excellent scripting skills, a solid understanding of SAP data structures and business processes and the ability to collaborate effectively with both business stakeholders and technical teams.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes on AWS cloud services, including S3, Glue, EMR, EC2 and Databricks workflows.
Develop and optimize Python and SQL scripts for data extraction, transformation and loading.
Architect and implement our data lake on AWS, ensuring data quality, security and performance, with SAP S4HANA as a primary source system.
Gain a deep understanding of SAP S4HANA data structures and business processes within areas such as STS (Source To Settle), OTC (Order to Cash), RTR (Record to Report), AR (Accounts Receivable) and AP (Accounts Payable).
Basic knowledge of Customer accounts, vendor management and general ledgers to build meaningful data models.
Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Provide technical and functional support to offshore development teams, ensuring successful delivery of data solutions.
Perform hands-on development and implementation of data solutions based on gathered requirements.
Apply strong data warehousing concepts in the design and implementation of data solutions.
Experience with Informatic EDC, grytgflpw, starburst, Ranger, or similar tools.
Exposure to code development using GitHub with copilot
Passion to learn and apply AI.
 

Good to have skills:

Informatica PowerCenter (PC) for managing data integration workflows, DAC Scheduler for orchestrating ETL processes and OBIEE analytical solutions. The candidate will be expected to support for these technologies.
Utilize data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI and ThoughtSpot to support analytical needs.
Utilize the Alteryx tool for data preparation and analysis.
