Data Engineer

Description

• We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our Crosby finance transformation initiative. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure to support the transformation of our finance operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of data solutions and drive innovation in our data practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to support data integration and transformation.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Implement and optimize data models to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Work with newer technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric to build scalable and robust data solutions.
• Perform data quality checks and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues to ensure data availability and reliability.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data engineering and incorporate them into our data strategy.

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong experience in data modeling and designing efficient data structures.
• Solid understanding of ETL processes and data integration techniques.
• Experience with SQL and other database technologies.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Knowledge of finance domain and related data requirements
