The Data Engineer will support the Clinical Care Management (CCM) program by designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining data solutions.
This role is central to enabling high-quality data flow and analysis for care management initiatives, ensuring data-driven insights are actionable and timely across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable data pipelines and processing workflows using GCP technologies.
- Create and maintain structured datasets in BigQuery to support business intelligence and analytics efforts.
- Leverage SQL and Python for data transformation, analysis, and automation.
- Utilize Airflow to author, schedule, and monitor complex workflows.
- Employ Dataflow or similar tools (e.g., Apache Beam) for batch and stream data processing.
- Collaborate across IT and business teams to define requirements and ensure successful data integration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within data pipelines and platform configurations.
- Communicate effectively to align with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of data engineering experience.
- High-level proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Experience with GCP, including BigQuery, Airflow, and Dataflow or similar tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work on complex data challenges.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in data analysis and management including architecture, modeling, mapping, testing, and optimization.
- Familiarity with API and service integrations across on-premise, cloud, and SaaS platforms.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub for continuous integration and deployment.
- Knowledge of IAM frameworks and tools for secure data access management.
- Exposure to containerization technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.
- Proficiency in working across multiple OS and database environments.
- Experience with various software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
- Background in pharmacy benefit management (PBM) or healthcare domains
