Data Engineer

The Data Engineer will provide L3 escalation support for existing production systems while assisting with enhancement activities. The role involves installation, configuration, patching, and maintenance of StreamSets on-prem runtime instances. The engineer will work with cloud applications, data ingestion frameworks, and data lake architectures to support analytics in Snowflake.

Key Responsibilities

Provide Level 3 escalation support for production systems and related enhancements.

Ensure proper testing and compliance with change management procedures.

Install, configure, patch, and maintain StreamSets on-prem runtime environments.

Collaborate with the team to address data landing requirements into Snowflake for analytics and reporting.

Work on cloud data pipelines, data lake architecture, and ingestion frameworks.

Communicate proactively and take ownership of learning, tasks, and team integration.

Must-Have Requirements

Experience with StreamSets, including both on-prem and cloud deployment models.

Knowledge of data landing into Snowflake for analytics and reporting.

Technical expertise in cloud applications, data ingestion, and data lake architectures.

Hands-on experience with:

Linux/Windows OS

Networking and clustering

Authentication systems

Load balancers, Java, SSL, certificates, etc.

Ability to manage tasks, prioritize effectively, and respond promptly.

Strong communication skills—ask questions, seek clarification when unsure, and proactively share updates
