Lead the full data conversion lifecycle for Workday implementation, from requirements through post-go-live validation.
Develop and manage detailed data migration plans, schedules, and deliverables for
Oversee extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from PeopleSoft HCM, Finance, and Payroll modules to Workday.
Define data mapping, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation processes in collaboration with functional and technical leads.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical staff, and project consultants to resolve data-related issues.
Ensure compliance with data quality, security, and governance standards.
Manage assigned and consulting resources within the data migration workstream.
Coordinate and conduct data validation and parallel testing with business stakeholders.
Provide regular status updates, risk identification, and issue management for the data migration track to project leadership.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).
7+ years’ experience in data migration/conversion, with at least 3+ years leading Workday data conversion projects.
Expertise in ETL methodologies and tools such as Workday Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Workday Studio, Talend, Informatica, SQL, Alteryx, or similar.
Demonstrated experience with data conversion for PeopleSoft and Workday (HCM, Finance, Payroll).
Prior experience managing data migration teams on enterprise-scale projects, ideally in higher education.
Strong understanding of data architecture, governance, validation, and reconciliation.
Proven leadership, project management, and communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with data and business processes in higher education, preferably at a public research university.
Workday and/or PeopleSoft certification(s).
Experience with cloud-based data migration and secure data handling.
