This is a Data Center Technician position
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, technical or vocational degree
Installation, support and testing of data cables - category 6 cable, fiber, twinax, various power cables and configuration of smart power strips
Installation, upgrades, and support of hardware such as servers, network, storage – Cisco\HP\Dell\IBM servers, Cisco switches and routers, F5, Checkpoint, DellEClient, NetApp
Great attention to detail
Technical support and troubleshooting
Incident and change management
Telecommunications - basic understanding
Previous work in data center environment
Asset management and asset auditing
Professionalism, ambitious and ability to work in team environment

Assists in planning and evaluation of existing network systems. Provides input on network planning, engineering and architecture. Assists with troubleshooting networks. Assists with wiring, cabling and installation of hardware and software. Skills: Bachelor's or equivalent and relevant experience. Formal training in Wide Area Networking and Local Area Networking. Familiarity with network protocols. Typically some Microsoft, or UNIX, or Appletalk networking familiarity. Some familiarity with wiring and cabling.

1. Shipping and Receiving of equipment, inventory tracking
2. Install/removal/moves new servers, routers, switches and associated cabling
3. Cleaning of computer rooms and storage rooms
4. Audits and inventory of equipment and small computer parts
5. Keep accurate cable inventory
6. Create change records
7. On-call and respond to Incident tickets
