Lead data architecture and modeling efforts to support a multi-year, multi-phase modernization initiative and other mission-critical projects.
Business-Technical Bridge: Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure data solutions align with agency priorities and deliver measurable business value.
Enterprise Data Strategy: Define, guide, and evolve the agency’s enterprise data architecture, focusing on data flows, integration, and support for business operations and analytics.
Data Governance & Standards: Enforce data standards, contribute to data governance frameworks, and ensure data quality, consistency, and regulatory compliance.
Collaboration: Work closely with business leaders, technical teams, and vendors to translate business objectives into actionable data architecture requirements.
Integration & Migration: Lead planning and execution of data integration and migration, ensuring efficient and accurate system transitions.
Documentation: Develop and maintain documentation for data architecture, models, and flows to ensure clarity and consistency across the organization.
Technical Leadership: Provide direction on the design and implementation of data solutions, leveraging technical teams for detailed execution.
Reporting: Regularly update leadership and data owners on project status, risks, and progress toward modernization and data strategy goals.
Continuous Improvement: Recommend phased approaches for new data sources/platforms and support the agency’s long-term data strategy and growth.
Preferred Experience: Background in public sector systems (insurance, pension), modernization projects, and data analytics, with strong proficiency in data modeling, enterprise data management, and cloud data architecture
