Required Qualifications:
• 8+ years of experience in financial data analysis
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial schedules, and source system structures.
• Proven experience in data mapping, data lineage documentation, and reconciliation between accounting outputs and source data.
• Deep working knowledge of Client applications
• Proficiency in SQL, Excel, Databases (Snowflake, DB2), and familiarity with SAP, Mainframe systems used in financial data environments.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with Accounting, IT, and Data teams.
• Strong experience in data analytics and Snowflake.
• Must have an understanding of accounting and financial statements.
• Knowledge of SAP is required, with SAP AP/AR knowledge being a plus.
• Knowledge of Client applications and DB2 is a nice-to-have.
Job Responsibilities:
• Support a CSO transformation project.
• Perform data mapping by tracing data schedules back to their 450 source locations.
• Capture fields for variance calculations.
• Work with data from accounting, General Ledger (GL), and financial statements.
• Data analysts with a specialization in Automotive and Captive Lending Accounting/Financial Reporting to support the mapping of reporting data to multiple source systems.
• This role is essential for ensuring a comprehensive understanding of data topology, system architecture, and integration flows.
• Candidates should be adept at analyzing and documenting data mappings from the reporting layer to various legacy and modern platforms—including Mainframe technologies (VSAM, DB2) and cloud-based databases s such as Snowflake.
• The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong knowledge of accounting principles, deep expertise in data structures, and practical experience with enterprise systems, all while ensuring documentation aligns with financial reporting standards.
• Collaborate with Accounting and DnA teams to understand the structure and content of financial schedules and their corresponding source systems.
• Apply deep knowledge of Client applications and the accounting framework to trace and map financial data elements back to their origin in source systems.
• Perform detailed data mapping between accounting schedules and source system fields, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and traceability.
• Document data lineage, including transformation logic and mapping rules, to support auditability and compliance.
• Assist in validating the accuracy and completeness of mapped data through reconciliation with financial reports and schedules.
• Support ongoing reconciliation efforts to ensure mapped data aligns with accounting outputs and reporting standards
