Data Analyst

Responsibilities

• Implement processes and documentation supporting data acquisition, validation, organization, and storage to establish a set of Certified Datasets to support analytics and reporting needs.
• Analyze problems and errors produced by business applications.
• Evaluate query design, data structure, and data quality to provide recommendations for improvement as needed.
• Manage data sources, databases, and data flows to ensure availability and consistency.
• Assist in creation and maintenance of master data across multiple systems Audit data.

Required Skills

• Data Analyst with Qlikview/Qlik Sense/Tableau background.
• Should have Software Engineering background.
• Knowledge of big data infrastructures such as Hadoop or Snowflake will be an asset.
• Creative, innovative, and critical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Should be able to understand the existing RDBMS and also big data system (Hadoop / Hive) and extract the data himself and do the statistical analysis.

Required Experience

• 3+ years of experience in database management or performance analytics.
• Experience with database languages such as SQL, Python, Spark, or NoSQL/MongoDB.
• Experience building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures and data sets preferred.
• Experience with cloud technologies would be an asset. Specifically – Hana, SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Stream Analytics.
• Experience with SAP ECC, BW and BODS suite of tools.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
