Responsibilities

  • set up and maintain automated data processes.
  • Identify, evaluate and implement external services and tools to support data validation and cleansing.
  • Produce and track key performance indicators.
  • Design and carry out surveys and analyze survey data.
  • Manipulate, analyze and interpret complex data sets relating to the employer’s business.
  • Develop and support reporting processes.
  • Monitor and audit data quality.
  • Liaise with internal and external clients to fully understand data content.

Required Skills

  • Advanced Excel skills (analytical platforms as well as Tableau & Quicksight skills would be advantageous)
  • Strong knowledge of cutting-edge algorithms, as well as their strengths and weaknesses.
  • Preferred languages: R, Python, SQL, Hive, Spark.
  • Able to quickly define and assess key issues and challenges in data or processes and problem solve efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management and meeting deadlines.

Required Experience

  • At least 2-4 years of relevant experience in a business analyst, data analyst or statistical analysis role.
  • Experience with developing and production data processing pipeline using tools like Apache Beam, Spark and/or Flink.
  • Experience with statistical modeling approaches.
  • Experience implementing software to make data accessible through simple Web and APIs.
  • Previous experience with natural language processing.
  • Previous experience with story-telling and visualization.
  • Previous experience leading predictive analytics projects from problem framing to delivery of products to customer.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field
