Cyber Security Engineer

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Engineer with over 5 Years of expertise in vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and managing advanced security solutions.

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the organization by identifying, analyzing, and mitigating cyber threats using tools like Veracode, Nessus, Nmap, Burp Suite, Flashpoint, Armis, and Cygonito.

This position involves enhancing the organization’s security posture and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing:

• Conduct in-depth vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical business systems, including IT and OT environments.
• Use tools like Veracode, Nessus, Nmap, and Burp Suite to identify and mitigate security weaknesses.

Security Platform Management:

• Monitor and maintain security platforms such as Flashpoint, Armis, and Cygonito to ensure comprehensive threat protection.
• Develop and implement security strategies to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches.

Incident Response & Analysis:

• Promptly respond to security incidents, investigate breaches, and provide recommendations for remediation.
• Analyze security findings and prepare actionable reports for stakeholders.

Collaboration & Implementation:

• Work with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into system and application development.
• Assist in implementing security controls and protocols aligned with industry standards (e.g., OWASP, ISO 27001, NIST).

Continuous Improvement & Awareness:

• Stay updated with emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry practices.
• Conduct security awareness training and promote a culture of cybersecurity within the organization.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, focusing on vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and cyber threat intelligence.
• Hands-on expertise with tools such as Veracode, Nessus, Nmap, Burp Suite, Flashpoint, Armis, and Cygonito.
• Solid understanding of incident response processes and threat mitigation techniques.
• Strong knowledge of security standards, protocols, and frameworks (e.g., OWASP, ISO 27001, NIST).
• Proven ability to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities effectively.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Certifications: CISSP, CEH, OSCP, or GIAC.
• Experience in advanced threat intelligence and detection.
• Knowledge of cloud security and DevSecOps methodologies.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for security automation.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Strong communication skills to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
