Consultant Specialist

Key Skills: jMeter, Performance Testing, BDD, Cucumber, Selenium, Automation Testing, Agile, DevOps.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Participate in project initiation by understanding requirements, assisting with test estimation, and formulating test strategy or test plans.
• Allocate tasks, monitor progress, and coordinate test schedules effectively.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to manage test environments, prepare test beds, and generate test data for execution.
• Conduct reviews and inspections of test deliverables and provide constructive feedback to the team.
• Execute tests, track and monitor defects to closure, and produce test metrics and reports (DSR/WSR) for stakeholders.
• Lead the adoption of Test Automation (BDD) aligned with the enterprise Appian Technology Strategy, preferably using Cucumber with Selenium.
• Implement innovative testing approaches to meet project objectives without compromising on quality.
• Proactively identify potential delivery issues and develop effective mitigation plans.
• Offer suggestions and feedback to improve testing practices and methodologies.
• Support value stream projects with a sound understanding of Agile concepts, SAFe framework, or Scrum methodologies.
• Identify reusability opportunities in BST and automation to demonstrate project efficiency and savings.
• Conduct performance testing with expertise in JMeter and provide support across all impacted systems and applications.
• Foster effective coordination with interfacing teams and ensure constructive collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with organizational processes and guidelines, maintaining strong relationships within the team and across functional groups.

Experience Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in manual and automation testing projects.
• Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in functional system testing and UAT.
• Proficient in Selenium and BDD frameworks with Cucumber.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Soap UI, Postman, and REST.
• Deep understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, and GitHub, and experience applying them in line with enterprise strategies.
• Familiar with test management tools like JIRA, ALM, and Confluence.
• Proven experience in troubleshooting performance issues, identifying bottlenecks, designing workload models, and executing performance tests.
• Excellent multitasking and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results across partner teams.
