Description
- Provide application development and support for mainframe applications used by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families.
- Maintain, analyze, code, test, and debug online and batch COBOL application programs, including post-production support.
- Work on high-profile mainframe projects; implement application changes, enhancements, and new functionality.
- Develop specifications, diagrams, flowcharts, and technical documentation.
- Analyze, design, and develop programs using COBOL, DB2, VSAM, and JCL.
- Collaborate with project leaders or managers, but also operate with self-direction.
- May require on-call and weekend support as needed.
- Required to attend onsite interviews and occasional onsite work (mostly remote).
- Must be a Wisconsin resident or willing to relocate to WI at own expense.
- Required skills: 8+ years in mainframe (COBOL, DB2, JCL, IMS, CICS, MVS), technical writing, and post-production support; experience with TANF or large Health and Human Services systems.
- Familiarity with C#.NET, XML, API, SQL Server, Visual Studio, and Angular is a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong analytical/problem-solving abilities, and ability to work as part of a team.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
