Provide application development and support for mainframe applications used by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families.
Maintain, analyze, code, test, and debug online and batch COBOL application programs, including post-production support.
Work on high-profile mainframe projects; implement application changes, enhancements, and new functionality.
Develop specifications, diagrams, flowcharts, and technical documentation.
Analyze, design, and develop programs using COBOL, DB2, VSAM, and JCL.
Collaborate with project leaders or managers, but also operate with self-direction.
May require on-call and weekend support as needed.
Required to attend onsite interviews and occasional onsite work (mostly remote).
Must be a Wisconsin resident or willing to relocate to WI at own expense.
Required skills: 8+ years in mainframe (COBOL, DB2, JCL, IMS, CICS, MVS), technical writing, and post-production support; experience with TANF or large Health and Human Services systems.
Familiarity with C#.NET, XML, API, SQL Server, Visual Studio, and Angular is a plus.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong analytical/problem-solving abilities, and ability to work as part of a team.
Bachelor’s Degree required.
