Job Description:

We are looking for a seasoned COBOL Developer with over 8 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in COBOL programming, DB2, and VSAM, with excellent project management and reporting skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and enhance COBOL applications, ensuring they meet business requirements and performance standards.

Design and manage database interactions using DB2 and handle file processing with VSAM.

Participate in meetings and reviews to discuss project progress, requirements, and issues, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders.

Prepare and deliver detailed project reports and documentation, including technical specifications and user manuals.

Apply project management tools and techniques to ensure efficient project execution and timely delivery.

Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues, implementing necessary fixes and improvements.

Collaborate with other developers and teams to integrate COBOL applications with existing systems and technologies.
