CloudOps Engineer (OpenStack Specialist)

Job Description:

  1.  OpenStack Deployment and Management:

    •  Deploy, configure, and manage OpenStack environments to support scalable and high-availability cloud infrastructure.

    •  Perform regular updates and maintenance on OpenStack components to ensure optimal performance and security.

  2.  Monitoring and Performance Tuning:

    •  Implement and maintain monitoring tools to track the performance and health of OpenStack services.

    •  Analyze system performance metrics and conduct tuning to enhance the efficiency and reliability of cloud operations.

  3.  Incident Response and Troubleshooting:

    •  Respond to and resolve incidents related to the OpenStack environment, ensuring minimal downtime and impact to services.

    •  Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement corrective measures to prevent future occurrences.

  4.  Automation and Scripting:

    •  Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.

    •  Utilize configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet) to automate deployment and configuration processes.

  5.  Documentation and Best Practices:

    •  Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for OpenStack environments, including architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

    •  Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in cloud operations, and apply this knowledge to improve the existing infrastructure.
