Cloud System Engineer

Position Description:

We are seeking a well-rounded Cloud Systems Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will assist with Architecting, planning, maintaining, implementing, and optimizing our cloud environment in Microsoft Azure. Your skills will be used to leverage and promote cloud native solution and support our engineers to utilize Cloud base services effectively.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Moderate knowledge of Operating Systems (Windows, RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS, Linux/Unix distributions), specifically with regards to system builds, configurations, and troubleshooting.
Deep understanding of using automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, etc.
Deep understanding of cloud native services.
Ability to architect solutions for various engineering team.
Must have basic programming skills such as Python, Java scripts, etc.
Deep understanding with installing and maintaining operating systems
Expert in configuring and troubleshooting network issues in a hybrid cloud environment
Supporting Infrastructure solution.
Proactive monitoring of cloud resources to ensure optimal usage.
Good troubleshooting skills related to network and security issues
Participate in On-Call system administration support including but not limited to weekends, holidays and after-business hours as required to service the need of the business.
Excellent creating in-house documentation.
Required:

7+ years of work experience with hands-on technical experience and system designs.
Three+ years architecting cloud native solutions.
Experienced in implementing security features such as LDAP, ADFS, SSL, etc.
Experienced provisioning, operating, and implementing Cloud base solutions.
Hands-on experience with Splunk for monitoring/observability
Able to work in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
Able to lead projects in a small team.
Experience developing code in at least one high-level programing language to support Infrastructure as a Code.
Moderate experience using Python or other programing language.
Understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends.
B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent work experience (preferred)
