Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Security Engineer with 3–5 years of experience to oversee cloud infrastructure, container security, and cloud-native application security. The primary focus will be on leveraging tools like Wiz and Microsoft Defender for Cloud to enhance the security posture of our cloud environments. Secondary responsibilities include incident response and vulnerability assessment, ensuring comprehensive security coverage for our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and secure cloud infrastructure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) with tools such as Wiz and Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
  • Implement and monitor container security strategies for Kubernetes, Docker, and other cloud-native solutionEnsure the security of cloud-native applications through proactive assessments, remediation, and best practices.
  • Conduct security posture management and risk analysis of multi-cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Monitor, detect, and respond to incidents in cloud environments, ensuring timely mitigation of threats.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments on cloud assets and applications, generating reports and recommendations for remediation.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and cloud workflows.
  • Stay updated on the latest cloud security threats, vulnerabilities, and solutions to improve organizational security.
  • Identify the gaps related to hardening, system integrity and get them remediated.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in cloud security engineering or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Wiz and Microsoft Defender for Cloud for cloud security management.
  • Strong knowledge of container technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker) and container security best practices.
  • Experience with cloud-native application security, including securing APIs, microservices, and serverless architectures.
  • Familiarity with incident response processes and tools in cloud environments.
  • Proficient in conducting vulnerability assessments and remediating cloud-specific risks.
  • Understanding of compliance requirements and standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and NIST in cloud environments.

Preferred Skills

  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS).
  • Experience with DoS and DDos protections tools.
  • Knowledge of scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, or Bash) for cloud security tasks.
  • Good understanding of DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipeline integration.
