Responsibilities

·         Work with multiple project stakeholders across the globe, understand the product/release requirements and define the release test strategy.

·         Define the goals for Unit Test, Functional Test, System Test, Performance and Scalability test and drive the teams towards achieving these goals.

·         Work with technical support, field folks and the L3 teams to understand the customer issues and design the scenarios to test the customer issues.

·         Identify the test / automation tools needs. Develop and execute POCs to evaluate these tools for specific projects.

·         Work closely with the global teams to understand and evaluate the existing automation tools and bring them to use in the projects within the lab.

·         Work closely with development teams and review the quality of the Unit test.

·         Keep up to date on the changes in the industry and new tools in the market.

·         Design and develop the automation frameworks

·         Design and develop the simulators

Requirements

 

Qualifications Knowledge and Skills

·         Strong understanding of Converged Storage management, Storage Provisioning, Storage Area Networking and System Management domain

·         Experience in Storage Area Networking technologies and associated protocols such as Fibre Channel, FCoE, iSCSI

·         Extensive experience in system manageability domain

·         Hands-on experience in testing and automating the storage management solutions

·         Strong knowledge of the storage domain features and the industry leading products

·         The candidate should be hands on Automation using any of the standard scripting tools and test framework

·         Whitebox testing, including ability to read through product code, debug issues, improve coverage, identify missing scenario will be an added advantage

·         Experience in defining and driving the Functional, System, Performance and Security tests

·         Strong leadership skills, including coaching and team-building

·         Ability to work with and influence value chain partners in developing the solutions

·         Well versed with Agile development process and should able to drive high standards towards quality of products being delivered

·         Should be able to handle ambiguity and provide meaningful direction to the team

·         The candidate should have the ability to influence Technical experts and leaders across organizations and should possess the Ability to take technical decision based on release quality, requirement or issues priority and resolve issues.

·         Must be self-driven and self-motivated, must have experience in leading the test teams

·         Hands-On experience in design and development of automation framework and simulators

·         Expertise in Unix shell script, Perl script and Python scripts

·         Experience in programming in Java

·         Creative problem solving and aptitude for systems thinking

·         Strong written and oral communication skills including the ability to communicate complex issues to technical and non-technical staff and management.

 

Education

·         Engineering degree in Computer Science or related field.  12 to 15 years of total experience with 3+ years of experience in the Technical Leadership role
