Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Cloud-Native Security Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. This role focuses on designing and implementing robust security controls for modern cloud-native environments, including containerized applications, orchestration platforms, and serverless computing. You will work closely with DevOps, IT, and application development teams to integrate security best practices into the development and deployment pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain security controls for cloud-native architectures (containers, Kubernetes, serverless).

Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments specific to cloud-native technologies.

Build and maintain automated security pipelines in CI/CD workflows.

Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents across containerized and cloud-hosted workloads.

Define and enforce policies for container security, network segmentation, and identity and access management (IAM).

Perform security audits and compliance checks across multi-cloud and hybrid environments.

Integrate security tools (e.g., Prisma Cloud, Aqua, Sysdig, Twistlock) into development and deployment processes.

Provide technical guidance and training to teams on secure coding and DevSecOps practices.

Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies related to cloud-native environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

3–5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on cloud or container security.

Strong understanding of container ecosystems (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).

Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, Terraform, etc.).

Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD) and DevOps practices.

Deep knowledge of cloud IAM, secrets management, and encryption techniques.

Certifications such as CKA, CKAD, AWS Security Specialty, or Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with security incident response and forensic analysis in cloud environments.

Familiarity with service meshes (Istio, Linkerd) and API security.

Knowledge of compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001)
