Cloud Migration Specialist

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and administer Oracle 11g/12c/19c databases in both production and non-production environments.
• Plan and execute database and data migrations to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OCI, etc.).
• Perform cloud database provisioning, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and patching.
• Develop and implement migration strategies ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
• Use Shell scripting to automate routine DBA tasks, backups, and monitoring.
• Monitor database health and performance; troubleshoot and resolve issues proactively.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and cloud teams to support ongoing projects.
• Ensure database security, access control, and compliance with organizational policies.
• Maintain documentation of procedures, architectures, and configurations.

Experience Requirement:

• Proven experience as an Oracle DBA (11g/12c/19c).
• 8-14 years of experience with cloud migration (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, etc.).
• Expertise in data migration tools and methods (Data Pump, RMAN, GoldenGate, etc.).
• Proficient in Shell scripting for automation and administrative tasks.
• Strong understanding of Oracle internals, performance tuning, indexing, and partitioning.
• Familiarity with cloud-native database services and infrastructure components.
