Description

We are seeking a motivated Junior DevOps Engineer to support our cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines in a dynamic environment leveraging Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, and Terraform. In this role, you will assist in automating infrastructure provisioning, managing containerized applications, and maintaining CI/CD workflows to ensure smooth and scalable deployments. You will work closely with senior engineers to troubleshoot issues, implement best practices, and enhance system reliability and performance across multi-cloud platforms. This contract position is open to remote candidates outside the United States in North/South America and will report to the Sr. Manager of DevOps Engineering.

Participate in an on-call rotation on a regular basis and respond o incidents reliably and professionally.
Maintain and evolve our AWS cloud infrastructure, employing automation, and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform
Build and maintain our code pipelines, designing and building automation in order to enable agile software development, using self-service where possible
Collaborate efficiently and effectively with other team members and Software Engineers to solve complex problems.
Quickly absorb context and knowledge while ramping up.
Minimum Requirements:

0-2 years experience in DevOps, System Administration, or related IT role
Hands-on exposure to cloud platforms (especially AWS) through internships, academic projects, or personal labs
Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git/GitHub)
Exposure to logging, metrics collection, and observability tools (e.g., DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, CloudWatch)
Basic understanding of networking concepts and common protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, SSH, TLS)

Nice to Haves

Some automation experience using popular languages (bash, python, etc); software development background a plus
Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code solutions
Experience converting applications to run in Docker containers
Working knowledge of UNIX-based Operating Systems
Computer Science or Engineering degree
