Cloud Engineer

Job Description
Must have Skills :
• Cloud development (Capable), Kubernetes, Python, C++, Linux Shell Script
A self-motivated engineer with system and software experience in Linux and Containerized (CaaS) systems, with focus on telecom and real time systems. The candidate will build and support telecom service provider’s complex challenges of deploying and managing a physically distributed, cloud native RAN infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
• The engineer will be responsible for development and system level integration of 5G PHY systems in a Linux based containerized edge infrastructure. The candidate will work with senior engineers in the wireless space as part of a small team building a new 5G development platform for the open RAN space. The candidate will actively engage with members of the team developing firmware and tooling to allow our start-up to move rapidly to meet customer requirements and to improve the product. 

Required Skills/Experience:
• An undergraduate degree in software engineering is required. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience
• Linux expertise/experience covering networking aspects, deployment, image build, application, and kernel development.
• Expertise in virtualization, containers, Kubernetes, orchestration, and cloud-native technologies.
• Adept at various programming languages: C++/C, scripting languages like Python, etc.
• Knowledge of wireless/cellular telecom, network function virtualization, and 5G edge deployments is preferred.
• Knowledge of hardware implementation of infrastructure, especially Intel x86 architectures, is a plus.
• Experience working with or familiarity with open-source code related to containerization.
