Cloud Engineer

What you’ll do & how you’ll make your mark.

We are looking for a team member to work with a small group of engineers in various projects to design the correct OCI network topologies which include VCNs, subnets, route tables aligning with our business requirements and security best practices.

This small team will need to collaborate with other teams and resources at Newfold Digital and OCI to design the OCI infrastructure as needed to support the various platforms being moved to the OCI cloud with the goal of deploying this as Infrastructure as Code.

They will at times need to design and implement VPN connections from cloud to on-prem as well as possibly cloud-to-cloud. This individual needs to understand network load balancing and distribution of traffic in a cloud environment which may rely on some cloud native technologies but also likely some non-cloud native technologies such as ha-proxy, they need to understand BGP routing and OCI’s implementation and limitations of the routing protocol.

Who you are & what you’ll need to succeed.

Advanced english skills
Familiarity with cloud networking tools to monitor and support these requirements is a must. 
Familiarity with OCI specific tools is a huge plus but is not required. 
Expertise in tools such as Ansible and Terraform is also required. 
Experience with Puppet, is also a plus but not required. 
Understanding of IAM and the differences between IAM and network segmentation is important while designing the cloud infrastructure layout. 
Familiarity with Tenancies, Compartments, Regions, and Availability domains is required. 
Documentation of the designs used is required so experience with tools such as Visio is beneficial. Organization and time management will be required to keep the projects on schedule so experience running multiple projects in parallel is also required
