Key Expertise:

  • Consulting & Commercial Strategy: Ability to provide consulting solutions and commercial proposals to develop strategies for selling cloud-based data analytics offerings.
  • Sales Execution: Proven ability to develop and close cloud deals, especially within the enterprise data platform space.
  • Proposals, RFPs, and SOWs: Experience in building comprehensive proposals, responding to RFPs, and crafting SOWs to meet customer requirements.
  • Cloud Platforms (Mandatory): Expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP is required for cloud architecture and data strategy development.
  • SAP Expertise (Mandatory): Hands-on experience with SAP BW to SAP Datasphere migration and SAP Data Analytics.
  • Enterprise Security & Data Governance: Deep expertise in implementing enterprise-grade security, data governance frameworks, and compliance with global regulations.
  • Data Platforms: Proficiency in either of the modern cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Synapse, and Redshift for data processing and analytics.

Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Data Solutions Sales: Lead sales engagements to position cloud data solutions for enterprise clients, supporting BDMs and sales teams.
  • Proposals, RFPs, and SOWs: Spearhead the creation of proposals, respond to RFPs, and develop SOWs that align with customer needs and business strategies.
  • Cloud Architecture: Design and implement scalable, cost-effective architectures across AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
  • Data Engineering: Develop and manage ETL/ELT pipelines, data integration workflows, and implement CDC and delta load design for effective data management.
  • SAP Tools: Lead SAP BW to SAP Datasphere migration strategies and leverage SAP Data Analytics for cloud solutions.
  • Legacy Data Platform Migration: Design and execute legacy data platform to modern cloud platform migration strategies, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver tailored, high-value data solutions.
  • Data Governance & Security: Ensure compliance with governance and security standards using tools such as Collibra, Informatica and SAP Datasphere.

Requirements:

  • MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH SAP Datasphere.
  • Cloud Platforms (Mandatory): Expertise with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including services like Redshift, BigQuery, Synapse/Microsoft Fabric, etc.
  • SAP Expertise (Mandatory): Hands-on experience with SAP BW, BOBJ, SAP Data Analytics, and SAP BW to Datasphere migration.
  • Legacy to Cloud Migration: Experience with legacy data platform migrations to modern cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Data Platforms: Proficiency in Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, and Synapse/Microsoft Fabric.
  • ETL/ELT & Data Pipelines: Strong experience in ETL/ELT processes, data pipeline orchestration, and Change Data Capture (CDC) techniques.
  • Open Source Table Formats: Experience with Apache Iceberg and Delta Lake for large-scale data lake management.
  • Data Modeling: Knowledge of Data Vault, Data Mesh, and other advanced modeling techniques.
  • Programming & Scripting: Proficiency in Python, SQL, and relevant languages.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master degrees are a plus.

Experience:

  • 15+ years as a Data Solutions Consultant or Pre Sales Data Engineer or in a cloud data architecture role.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, and proficiency in cloud-native tools such as AWS Glue, DMS, Kafka, Azure Data Factory, GCP Dataflow.
  • MUST have experience with SAP Datasphere and other SAP Data Analytics tools such as BW.
  • Expertise in building and managing data lakes and data warehouses on cloud platforms.
  • Experience with data extraction from SAP ERP systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with enterprise data governance, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with data platforms such as Apache Spark, or Hadoop is a plus.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data engineering.
  • Experience on building end to end proposals(including estimation, resourcing, high level solution arch) for customers for migration
  • Working with account managers/BDMs as Overlay sales or similar roles or consulting roles.
  • Managed Quota and driving opportunities from discovery, proposal, SOW to closure
