Cloud Data Architect

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of our cloud-based data strategy. This pivotal role will focus on building scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures on Snowflake and other cloud platforms, enabling advanced analytics, AI, and business intelligence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities

1. Data Architecture Design

Develop and implement robust data architecture strategies aligned with business goals.
Design scalable, secure, and efficient data models for Snowflake and other cloud platforms.
Ensure architecture supports data ingestion, storage, transformation, and analytics.
2. Data Modeling

Create logical and physical data models tailored to business consumption needs.
Design semantic models to support self-service BI and AI-driven analytics.
Ensure models are optimized for performance, scalability, and usability.
3. Data Governance and Quality

Define and enforce data standards, definitions, and governance policies.
Establish frameworks to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
Lead data cataloging initiatives to enhance data discoverability and understanding.
4. Collaboration

Partner with data engineers, analysts, product owners, and business stakeholders.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to align data architecture with business objectives.
Act as a technical advisor on data-related initiatives across the organization.
5. Tool Utilization and Expertise

Leverage advanced data modeling tools (e.g., ERwin, PowerDesigner).
Stay current with emerging data technologies and methodologies.
Utilize BI tools and AI-enabled platforms to enhance data accessibility and insights.
Required Qualifications

Experience: 7–10+ years in data architecture, data modeling, or data warehouse development.
Technical Expertise:
Deep knowledge of Snowflake, SQL, and modern database systems (e.g., Teradata, PostgreSQL, Sybase, DB2).
Proficiency in data modeling tools (ERwin, PowerDesigner, etc.).
Experience with ELT processes, data integration, and data warehousing.
Familiarity with AI/ML tools and big data technologies.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills to convey complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.
Collaborative mindset with experience working in agile, cross-functional teams
