Cassandra Consultant

Responsibilities

• Establish, develop and maintain good working relationships with business users.
• Prioritize face-to-face interactions.
• Manage deployment packaging, testing, and implementation.
• Collaborate with all other IT teams across the organization to
  ensure releases are delivered with repeatable and auditable processes.
• Build, refresh, and administer deployment environments.
• Support and troubleshoot scalability, HA, performance, monitoring, and
  backup/restore.
• Identify and develop ways to improve the quality, capability or efficiency of the testing process.

Required Skills

• Expert in data structure design, Data Modelling in Cassandra.
• In depth knowledge of architecture and creating Cassandra/no SQL database systems.
• Solid understanding of No SQL Database.
• A deep understanding of Cassandra design principals, cluster connectivity, security and the factors that affect distributed system.
• Expert in performance tuning and capacity management and provide recommendation.
• Creative thinker and strong problem solver with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to think abstractly and deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems.

Required Experience

• Solid experience in writing Cassandra queries, materialized views.
• Proven experience with identifying hardware and software related issues.
• Experience interfacing directly with corporate clients to understand their business needs, create solutions and drive implementation of software products.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
