Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled MES Integrations Engineer to join our team as a Business Technical Analyst (Order Management). This role requires expertise in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), SAP, Boomi, and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). The successful candidate will be responsible for resolving MES-related issues and implementing new changes within our MES landscape. This position also involves a proactive approach to identifying and analyzing existing process pain points and functionalities to drive improvements. As the Business Technical Analyst (Order Management), you will collaborate closely with various teams, including MFG IT Level 2 and 3 support, Production Operations & Scheduling, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, as well as our SAP and PLM teams.
Responsibilities:
Support Business Analysis Activities: Drive and support the day-to-day activities of the business analyst function, specifically focusing on Order Management.
Serve as First Point of Contact: Act as the initial point of contact for all MES-related order management issues, incidents, and concerns.
Conduct System Analysis and Design: Perform thorough analysis and design activities related to Order Management systems within the MES environment.
Finalize and Configure Bills of Materials: Ensure Bills of Materials (BOMs) are accurately finalized and configured to meet operational requirements.
Analyze Production Data for Improvement: Analyze production data to identify trends, patterns, and areas where process improvements can be implemented.
Configure Production Setups: Utilize proficiency in Rockwell FTPC to configure production setups and optimize manufacturing workflows within the MES.
Maintain Data Integrity and Accuracy: Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all data within the MES and related order management systems.
Support Plant Commissioning: Collaborate with plant commissioning teams to facilitate the successful launch of factory systems.
Provide Timely Technical Assistance: Respond promptly to workflow tickets, Slack messages, emails, and phone calls, providing efficient technical assistance.
Troubleshoot Issues Professionally: Engage with users, actively listen to their concerns, analyze and isolate technical issues, and maintain a calm and professional demeanor throughout the troubleshooting process.
Manage Customer Interactions: Provide conflict resolution and effectively navigate challenging situations with frustrated users.
Diagnose Manufacturing Application Issues: Troubleshoot various manufacturing applications, including the MES and other quality management tools.
Conduct On-site Client Meetings: Attend in-person meetings with clients to directly analyze, troubleshoot, and diagnose complex problems and incidents.
Document Issues and Propose Improvements: Thoroughly document identified issues and propose system or business process improvements to prevent future occurrences.
Drive Incident Resolution: Proactively work to reduce incident cycle times by responding quickly to issues, identifying recurring problems, and conducting thorough incident investigations.
Assist in Training Material Creation: Support management in the development of training materials related to troubleshooting techniques and system usage.
Maintain Technical Documentation: Organize and maintain comprehensive technical support documentation and instructional guides for future reference and knowledge sharing.
Escalate Complex Issues: Escalate complex technical issues to Level 2 and 3 support teams when necessary, ensuring proper hand-off and communication.
Identify and Resolve Repetitive Issues: Identify recurring issues and actively participate in automating or implementing permanent solutions to enhance the overall user experience.
Stay Current with Technologies: Continuously stay updated on the latest manufacturing applications, technologies, and industry best practices.
Maintain Availability for Support: Be available and willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required to complete critical support tasks and ensure system stability.
Required Skillsets:
Strong understanding of MES (preferred Rockwell FTPC) systems, integration methodologies, and industry best practices to excel in this role.
Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP, Boomi, and PLM tools.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience with Manufacturing IT Systems.
Good understanding of conventional Manufacturing applications and IT system communication methods.
In-depth knowledge of MFG systems and processes, including MES and Other Systems
Knowledge of SQL, Active Directory, Log Monitoring, basic scripting, and execution
Experience in resolving simple to moderately complex issues through root cause analysis.
Excellent interpersonal skills, energetic, self-starter with outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving abilities Strong understanding of MES systems (preferably Rockwell FTPC), integration methodologies, and industry best practices.
Education Requirements:
A college, university, or equivalent degree in Information Technology, Business, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is desired
