Job Description:
Business Solutions Analyst, under the IT MSA, specializing in data warehouse analysis and documentation and must have expert level knowledge, skills, and ability to work with Mental Health and document requirements for reports and business rules, driving those document requirements following industry best practices and methodologies. The Business Solutions Analyst shall obtain and document the business requirements for the current Enterprise Data Warehouse and new and existing Mental Health reports. This analyst shall assist with analyzing and documenting all parts of the data warehouse reporting system, including Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL/ELT) pipelines, Stored Procedures, Data models, and Reporting for end users and assist with test validations.
Responsibilities:
- Anticipate the needs and workflows of the developers and quality assurance team, enabling high productivity and accuracy throughout the development and release cycle.
- Analyze the structure of the business to determine how it operates and determine its objectives.
- Capture and document business rules via various forms, including interviews with subject matter experts.
- Create detailed business analysis, outlines problems, opportunities and solutions for Mental Health.
- Create test validations for the Mental Health Verification project using Structured Query Language (SQL) for database testing and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) report testing.
- Document requirements and system workflows from gathered requirements such that they can be interpreted and executed by developers and quality assurance team members.
- Document Business rules including data sources, extraction logic, transformation logic and
methodology used to calculate the data before it is displayed.
- Document the intended audience, report distribution, method of distribution as well as the data refresh frequency.
- Ensures compliance with policies and procedures with special emphasis on compliance with HIPAA requirements.
- Provide mock-ups to facilitate clear communication.
- Gain business signoff and hand over to the development team.
- Communicate complex technical information that all cross-functional teams can easily comprehend.
- Use Azure DevOps as a tool to relay requirements to the necessary parties.
- Track defects and report bugs using Azure DevOps (aka TFS)
