Business Intelligence Analyst

Job Responsibilities

• Analyze and understand source data and business processes that impact data modeling and BI (Business Intelligence) solutions
•  Collect and analyze data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and correlations impacting data modeling and BI (Business Intelligence) solutions.
• Create and maintain data models, databases, and central dashboards to support data-driven decision-making and enhance BI (Business Intelligence) capabilities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and data scientists to establish business goals, metrics, and requirements, translating these into business analysis solutions that drive the effectiveness of BI (Business Intelligence)
•  Conduct data quality checks to ensure data integrity and accuracy across all spectrums before implementing findings to maintain high BI (Business Intelligence) standards.
•  Develop reports, visualizations, and presentations to communicate strategic findings and present insights to key stakeholders for informed decision-making, enhancing BI (Business Intelligence) initiatives.
• Utilize diverse business intelligence technologies and tools, including IBM Cognos, Power BI, Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE), and Tableau, to streamline data analysis and visualization processes and support BI (Business Intelligence) efforts.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
• Develop and maintain documentation for BI (Business Intelligence) solutions, including data dictionaries, data models, and metadata repositories.
• Work closely with Data Analysts to design and document dimensional models and source-to-target (ETL) specifications.
• Conduct thorough data profiling of source systems to identify data quality issues and ensure accurate data integration.
• Create and modify database objects by generating Data Definition Language (DDL) statements, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
• Develop comprehensive technical specifications that detail the data flow process, facilitating clear communication among team members.
• Design and develop Operational Data Stores (ODS) to support BI (Business Intelligence) initiatives and data warehousing needs.
