Job Description/Responsibilities:

This BA roles are Junior – Mid level openings targeting BAs with at least 3+ years of IT experience.

 

The Business Analyst will serve as the principal line of communication for the Bureau of Business Solutions. The duties and responsibilities of this position are as follows:

• Establish, manage, and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external customers in one or more business segments;

• Assist with the daily operations and provide general administrative support to the assigned IT organization;

• Participate and assist in the preparation of the annual business plan for the assigned IT functional area;

• Assist with annual expense budgets utilizing proper accounting/budgeting controls;

• Assist with entering financial data into the tracking system and provide regular and ad-hoc financial status reports;

• Responsible for preparing reports, presentations, and articles to inside management and outside vendors;

• Respond to basic questions and concerns from the business areas;

• Serve as the liaison between IT technical teams, resource managers, and human resources organization to develop and implement appropriate IT talent management activities;

• Serve as the liaison between enterprise and end-users, outside vendors, contractors, and consultants to define and establish service and support requirements;

• Participate in the development, implementation and maintenance of IT communication strategies and plans;

• Regularly interact with functional groups within the IT organization to communicate and clarify customer requirements;

• Investigate and resolve customer relationship problems;

• Assist in organization change management; and

• Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Required Experience:

• Experience with creating executive-level reports and communications;

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

• Proficient in utilizing Microsoft (MS) Excel and MS PowerPoint;

• Ability to prepare reports, presentations, and articles to inside management and outside vendors;

• Experience with administrative functions

• Ability to adapt to change and be able to handle multiple priorities.

Desired/ Preferred experience::

• Three (3) or more years utilizing MS Suite software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat software;

• Proficient in conducting research activities utilizing internet search engines;

• Ability to provide effective communication and collaborative skills;

• Ability to coordinate numerous tasks and effectively conduct the initiative to meet overall objectives;

• Experience in creating presentations for executives;

• Combine patience, determination, and persistence to troubleshoot client issues;

• Strong results-oriented, problem-solving, and analytical skills;

• Enjoy working as a team as well as independently; and

• Experience working in the IT industry.
